Prior to establishing Moir Group, Stephen spent 17 years with a leading international recruitment firm. He progressed through the business and was Managing Director for the operations in Australia.  He left to establish Moir Group in early 2007.

Stephen firmly believes that work is a big part of people's lives and that having a satisfying job is a big part of having a fulfilling life. Stephen has had great success in delivering on this belief.  He stands by Moir Group’s values of Care, Partnership, Rigour, Persistence and Passion, and they underpin everything he does. He always focuses on cultural fit, service and sourcing the right people for his clients, realising that, when Moir Group do their job really well, they have a significant impact on organisations and people's lives. The result is that Moir’s candidates build successful careers with great retention for the organisations they are placed with.

Karen is one of three Directors at Moir Group.  Karen joined the business in 2009 to set up the Interim Recruitment business.  Karen has since set up a highly experienced team of recruiters, many in job-share arrangements, who together look after Moir’s clients and candidates across all locations in Sydney, as well as regional NSW, Victoria and Brisbane.  These range from CFO to transactional-level recruitment.

Karen’s previous experience has been in recruiting across various disciplines including Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Project, Change Management and IT.  Initially an Accountant at IBM, Karen moved into Finance recruitment early in her career and she brings with her over 20 years of diverse recruitment and management experience, working across Australia, as well as in Hong Kong and the UK.

Susan is one of the three Directors at Moir Group, having joined the business in July 2012.  She leads a team of specialist permanent Accountancy and Finance recruiters focusing across Sydney, as well as regional NSW, Victoria and Brisbane, from CFO to transactional-level recruitment. Susan is actively involved in Sydney’s business networking events.

A passionate Scot with over 14 years of Finance Recruitment experience internationally, Susan offers open and honest feedback, encouraging senior finance professionals to fully maximise both their opportunities and performance.

Angela Farmeary

Head of Learning

Angela is the Head of Learning for Moir Group having joined the team in February 2012. She facilitates all of Moir Group’s internal and external training and coaching programs. This includes career coaching for candidates, as well as facilitating all the candidate and client training events. With a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, Angela is passionate about continual learning and exploring new ideas on how people learn and retain information.

Angela also manages Moir Group’s community involvement projects, including resume and interview skills workshops with St Vincent de Paul, Mission Australia and The Asylum Seekers Centre.

Kelly joined Moir Group in May 2010 and is the Financial Controller. In her role, she is responsible for the entire finance function of the business. She is a member of the Senior Management team and works closely with the directors, ensuring strategic targets are met.

Prior to working with Moir Group, she had over 28 years experience working in the FMCG sector and the radio and television industry. Her most recent role was as Commercial Manager with a division of Pacific Brands. She holds a Bachelor of Business and has been a CPA for over 25 years. She also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Newton is the Manager for the permanent Accounting team and responsible for the Bank & Financial services division.  He is responsible for temporary and permanent accounting recruitment, having joined the Moir Group in August 2014. Newton holds a Bachelor of Commerce, UWS and entered the recruitment industry in 2001.

Throughout Newton’s career he has consistently performed at the highest levels, resulting in being promoted to various leadership positions. Newton brings a fresh, enthusiastic, passionate approach to recruitment, creating deep relationships with all stakeholders and has built an extensive network across the Sydney finance market during the last 14 years.

Emma is an experienced Accountancy and Finance recruiter, focusing on contracting, temporary and interim management roles within Sydney. She initially started her career in recruitment in the UK, returning to Australia in 2003. She has over 16 years recruitment experience gained from recruiting a variety of positions for large, listed global commercial companies to SME's. She works alongside a team of professional recruiters and is involved in learning, training and development, and hosting professional seminars and workshops.

Her areas of focus are Finance Directors, CFOs, Commercial and Change Managers, Analysts, Financial Accountants, Management Accountants, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll. She holds a Bachelor Degree from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Trisha has over 20 years finance/recruitment experience and joined Moir Group in September 2009.  Degree-qualified in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations, Trisha has spent several years in internal recruitment and generalist HR roles within telecommunications, entertainment, IT consulting and finance regulators.  She has focused on contract/temporary recruitment for the last 10 years and in 2016 launched the Not for Profit, Government and Services specialist division. Trisha particularly enjoys partnering with businesses to recruit for those ‘hard-to-fill’ roles.

Andrew has almost twenty years’ recruitment experience gained from recruiting a variety of positions for large, listed global commercial companies to SME'. Andrew will look after Moir Group's clients and candidates at the executive level across all locations in Sydney, as well as regional NSW, Victoria and Brisbane. Andrew’s previous experience has been in recruiting across various disciplines including Finance, Accounting, Procurement & Supply Chain, Project & Change Management.

Anna began her recruitment career in 1994, recruiting Accounting and Finance staff for the banking industry in London.  Moving to Sydney in 1997, Anna worked for a multinational recruitment business in both finance and marketing recruitment, during which time she managed the start-up of a new business unit.  Anna joined Moir Group in 2012 and specialises in temporary and contract recruitment in accounting and finance, focusing on the city and inner-city client base.  She offers Moir Group clients and candidates extensive business partnering and proven finance recruitment skills.

Vicky joined Moir Group in February 2014 as a Senior Consultant in the Temporary/Contracting team. Vicky looks after all levels of Finance and Accounting roles that fall within the CBD and South Sydney area. Vicky is a Registered Psychologist and combines her experience in counselling with over 10 years experience recruiting across a variety of disciplines and industries. She is passionate about recruitment, as well as helping build our candidates' careers and sense of self-worth.

Helen is a Senior Consultant, within the Contracting team, who joined Moir Group in September 2011.  She specialises in the recruitment of CFOs to transactional-level accountants for clients within the CBD and South Sydney. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology, she travelled extensively after completing her degree.  Helen has over 10 years’ experience recruiting both permanent and contracting Accounting and Finance specialists across all industries, both here and in London.

Fiona is a Senior Consultant with Moir Group, specialising in Temporary and Contracting recruitment across all levels of Finance and Accounting. She brings global and local experience to the role, after beginning her recruitment career in London in 1996. Fiona has successfully recruited Accounting and Finance staff, within the banking industry, and also held marketing roles within the recruitment industry. Degree-qualified in Commerce (HR and Industrial Relations), she is fully committed to building long-term, successful relationships with both industry clients and candidates.

Karen-Anne began her recruitment career in 1992, working for two multinational recruitment firms in contractor recruitment, during which time she was responsible for major preferred supplier agreement accounts. Following this, she gained a wider experience in the recruitment industry – in Rec to Rec and in digital recruitment advertising.

Karen-Anne joined Moir Group in 2016 and specialises in temporary and contract recruitment in Accounting and Finance, focusing on the Not For Profit, Government and Services sectors. She is passionate about providing candidates with a satisfying job, leading to a more fulfilling life.

Melanie is a Senior Consultant at Moir Group who joined late 2016 and works on the permanent recruitment for mid-management roles for CBD and West clients. Melanie is ACCA qualified with over 10 years’ experience working in various accounting roles with multinational Entertainment/Media organisations in London. Upon returning home to Australia in 2014, she pursued her career in Finance & Accounting recruitment and is passionate about utilising her accounting background combined with her personable approach to successfully assist candidates and clients.

Cassie joined Moir Group in February 2016 as a Consultant within the permanent team, after moving across from Scotland. Cassie completed her Law Degree in 2010, worked for a regional airline for a year, then transitioned into recruitment. She has spent the last five years working within the Aberdeen accounting and finance market, focused on a range of industries including Oil and Gas, Hospitality, Not for Profit, Education, Retail and Construction, to name a few.

Her experience ranges from entry level Accounts Assistant to Finance Manager level. She enjoys the challenge of balancing her fast-paced role with the opportunity to build strong partnerships with clients and candidates, thus allowing her to fully understand their needs and ultimately find the perfect match.

Bel joined Moir Group in March 2017 and is the Assistant Accountant of the company. In her role, she is responsible for Payroll and Accounts Payable. She works closely with the Financial Controller assisting her in the finance department.

She has over 9 years’ experience working in finance and accounting roles in office environments and service industries. Her most recent role was as a Financial Analyst at Air France KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and a Diploma of Leadership and Management. She is analytical by nature and is passionate about new challenges and enjoys seeing projects through to the end.

Sara Eriksson

Joining Moir Group in May 2017, Sara takes on multiple roles in the company. She supports the Permanent Team administratively, is the key point of contact for all Moir Group Events and works closely with Stephen on marketing and the development of our Learning Portal.

Moving back to Sydney in 2013, Sara worked as the Office Manager for a mid-tier accounting firm in Sydney’s south. She holds a Diploma of Business and a Diploma of Interior Design – a perfect balance of practical and creative that help her take on the many varied aspects of her role.

Natascha D'Arcy

Natascha joined the operations team at Moir Group in March 2017, initially as our receptionist. With over 10 years’ experience managing reception and front-of-house for various companies, Natascha moved in to the role of Executive Assistant for Stephen Moir. She supports Stephen directly in all aspects of administration, ensuring his busy diary is managed smoothly. She also instigates many projects across the business, including customer service and database management initiatives.

Kristine joined the Temporary and Contracting team in October 2013 as a Resourcer/Operations Support. She provides assistance to the contracting team, as well as support to the Financial Controller with regards to temporary payroll and invoicing. She has been in the recruitment industry for almost 7 years. Kristine is passionate about coordinating and supporting others in the team.
