Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant with leadership experience to oversee a small finance team on an 12-month fixed term contract.
Leading a small team, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day financial accounting function, ensuring accurate financial accounting, statutory reporting and efficient finance operations. You’ll also partner with stakeholders across the organisation, provide trusted financial advice and identify opportunities to strengthen processes and drive continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong financial accounting experience, including month-end, reconciliations, statutory reporting and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a finance team.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience within local government or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
- Salary circa $120,000 + super.
- Initial 12 month fixed term contract with potential to become permanent
- Immediate start
- Organisation based in regional NSW, with the flexibility to work fully remotely or in a hybrid capacity.
