Position
Reporting to APAC Finance Director, the APAC Regional Financial Controller will lead the financial control agenda across the region, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, balance sheet governance and compliance with Group and local statutory requirements.
Working closely with Business Unit Finance Directors, Country Controllers, Group Finance and the Global Delivery Centre (GDC), you will strengthen the regional control environment while supporting finance transformation and standardisation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the regional month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process across APAC.
- Ensure accurate and timely Group reporting, statutory reporting and external disclosures.
- Embed and enhance the Group Financial Controls Framework across the region.
- Oversee statutory accounting, compliance obligations, and the delivery of Group, statutory and tax audits.
- Provide technical accounting leadership, ensuring consistent application of IFRS, Local GAAP and Group accounting policies.
- Review and govern key balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and managing accounting and control risks.
- Partner with finance transformation and systems teams to improve automation, standardisation and reporting efficiency.
- Lead, mentor and develop the regional Financial Controller community, fostering collaboration, capability development and continuous improvement across multiple countries.
Profile
You are a technically strong finance leader with extensive experience operating in large, complex multinational organisations. You combine deep financial control expertise with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead high-performing teams across a regional matrix environment.
You will bring:
- CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Extensive experience in financial control, statutory reporting, external audit and technical accounting.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Local GAAP across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven experience leading regional finance or financial control teams within a multinational environment.
- Demonstrated success partnering with Shared Services or Global Delivery Centres (GDCs).
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience driving finance transformation, process standardisation and automation.
