Fund Accountant Sydney

Position
Reporting to the CFO, the Fund Accountant is involved in the accounting of the Investment Funds as well as the Management entities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation and finalisation of the Financial Accounts for each Fund
  • Reconciliation of the Accounts
  • Preparation of the monthly position FUM, Fund performance (ie IRR, NAV etc)
  • Accounting and financial control for the Management entities
  • Finalisation of Consolidated Accounts for all management entities
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Mthly and YTD P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
  • Preparation of a three-way Forecast and commentary
  • Invoicing investee costs recoverable, collections and weekly payables
  • Funding and review of expense management including tools Divipay, IT subscriptions

Profile
Aptitude and attitude is paramount. You will have a fascination and real interest in new technology businesses combined with a desire to work in a fast paced venture capital environment. In addition you will be:

  • Degree Qualified Accountant with CPA / CA and at least 2 years accounting experience
  • A love of the numbers, the process and the success of the team
  • High performance in a broad hands-on role and with excellent attention to detail
  • Enjoy working in a hybrid-remote, autonomous environment. You’re a self-starter and task-oriented finisher and have a strong ownership mentality
  • A fast learner, with the ability to research and ask questions to rapidly familiarise yourself with the business and the maturing needs of its administration
  • Keen to implement change
  • Excellent communication skills
